SRC Curriculum Area Manager Gráinne Magee and Lead Programme Coordinator Alexander Cassidy attended the recent SHSCT Social Work Career Information event in Armagh to share information outlining potential pathways into a Social Work Degree.
Interested attendees were provided with information and guidance regarding subject relevant qualifications such as the Level 3 Advance Technical Award in Health and Social Care, Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Healthcare Practice, and the Foundation Degree in Science (FdSc) in Health and Social Care.
Previous SRC Student Catherine Galbraith was on hand to share her journey with the attendees. Catherine had successfully completed the Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Healthcare Practice at the Newry Campus and is now in her 6th week of her social work degree in Queens University.
The event was a great success inspiring all participants.
