SRC hosted a successful Business Breakfast at the Newry campus this morning, offering valuable networking opportunities and showcasing the range of support SRC provide for businesses.

Tracy Rice, Head of Business Engagement, outlined SRC’s services in knowledge transfer, upskilling, and apprenticeship development. SRC’s support for business has grown consistently, supporting 1,000 businesses annually, upskilling over 5,200 staff in the last 4 years and creating over 975 jobs through Higher Level Apprenticeships since 2014, and SRC continually seek out new employers wishing to benefit from their services.

Breda McAteer from OHMG discussed their partnership with SRC which included apprenticeships, upskilling and integrating Women Returners into their business and Grace Magill from Mount Mills Cold Pressed Flax Oil shared how SRC helped assist them in creating new products using their flax seed oil through an Invest NI Innovation voucher Invest Northern Ireland.

Finally, keynote speaker Brian O'Connor from Mintel provided insights on AI’s impact on consumers and innovation.
