Overview
The Level 2 Traineeship in Vehicle Body Repair is a practical and theoretical course where students will learn some of the key skills required for a career in the motor industry. Learners can experience a wide variety of body repair activities, including body repair, welding and panel work.
Throughout the traineeship, participants will learn the fundamental principles of vehicle body repair, including panel repair and replacement, dent removal, surface preparation, and painting techniques. Students will also gain an understanding of different types of vehicle body materials, repair tools and equipment, as well as health and safety regulations related to vehicle body repair work.
Students will develop their transversal skills such as problem solving, time management, teamwork, communication and entrepreneurship.
This course provides vocationally related knowledge and skills which will improve employability within these vocations. Successful completion of units or the full award can contribute to the achievement of a VCQ when vocationally employed.
