Overview
The Vehicle Accident Repair Paint Principles Level 2 Diploma Apprenticeship will provide individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue a career in the field of vehicle accident repair and paintwork. This apprenticeship offers a valuable opportunity for individuals interested in the repair and refinishing of damaged vehicles to gain practical experience and develop essential skills in paint application, colour matching, surface preparation, and repair techniques.
Training in SRC workshops, students will work with real vehicles and panels, using equipment similar to that used in body shops. Students will also have access to our vehicle spray booth. Throughout the duration of the programme, students will develop their skills and knowledge alongside industry qualified staff, whilst taking part in various work placements.
Throughout the apprenticeship, participants will learn the fundamental principles of vehicle accident repair and paintwork, including assessing damage, preparing surfaces, applying paint and clear coat, colour matching and blending techniques. They will gain an understanding of different types of vehicle surfaces, paint systems, and repair materials, as well as the tools and equipment used in the trade.
