Overview

The Strategic Management and Leadership Level 7 Certificate is a comprehensive course designed to provide experienced professionals with the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to excel in strategic management roles. This advanced level programme focuses on developing strategic thinking, leadership abilities, and the capability to drive organisational growth and success.

This course is suitable for those in senior management positions or those currently in a management position wishing to progress to a senior management post.

During this programme, students will gain knowledge and develop practical aspects of their management style whilst encouraging critical and innovative thinking on how best to manage an organisation at a strategic level. Throughout the course, participants will explore the principles and frameworks of strategic management. They will gain a deep understanding of strategic analysis, strategic planning, and strategic implementation. Participants will learn how to assess internal and external environments, identify opportunities and threats, and develop effective strategies to achieve organisational goals.

The teaching styles and assessment methods will encourage student engagement and active participation to improve and develop student's own distinctive management skills and behaviours.

The Certificate at Level 7 involves approximately 50 hours student contact time over the duration of the course, timetabled for one evening per week. This will be delivered fully online. There will be an expectation for non-student contact (independent study).

All staff delivering on this programme are highly experienced with extensive knowledge of management and leadership.

This course will be delivered, supported and assessed through the use of common digital tools such as Microsoft Office, online learning resources and online meetings. Prospective learners should therefore have a level of competence and confidence in the use of IT before applying for this course.

In addition, some course delivery and support will be through remote online sessions, which do not require physical attendance in College. Prospective learners must ensure that they have sufficient IT and internet access to facilitate this.
