The Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles Level 2 Diploma Apprenticeship will provide individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue a career in the field of heavy vehicle maintenance and repair. This apprenticeship offers a valuable opportunity for individuals interested in working with large vehicles, such as trucks, buses, or construction equipment, to gain practical experience and develop essential skills in maintaining and repairing heavy vehicles.
This course involves studying both the theoretical and practical aspects of the industry and includes areas such as routine heavy vehicle maintenance, engines and components and transmission and driveline units.
Throughout the apprenticeship, participants will learn the fundamental principles of heavy vehicle maintenance and repair, including diagnosing faults, performing routine maintenance tasks and conducting repairs on various systems and components of heavy vehicles. Apprentices will gain an understanding of different types of heavy vehicles, their systems and components and the maintenance and repair techniques specific to these vehicles.
