Overview

This is an English course for speakers of other languages (ESOL) to improve confidence and develop skills in communicating in social situations.

In this module learners will read short, straightforward texts in order to gain meaning, identify purpose and find information. They will also read texts such as public signs and notices, maps, lists, forms, notes, emails, simple narratives, letters and diagrams.

: This level is suitable for those who are not a complete beginners and have a basic working knowledge of English, or have already achieved a full Entry 1 qualification or all Entry 1 modules.

Please note applicants may be required to take a short assessment before enrolling on this course.
: You will read short, straightforward texts in order to gain meaning, identify purpose and find information. You will also read texts such as public signs and notices, maps, lists, forms, notes, emails, simple narratives, letters and diagrams.
: This course will be assessed by an externally set and internally marked assessment.
: All three Entry 2 modules (Reading, Speaking & Listening and Writing) need to be completed for progression to ESOL Entry Level 3.
