Overview

The Level 1/2 First Award in Engineering is designed to foster learners' understanding of engineering and provide them with fundamental engineering skills that can be readily applied to future employment opportunities within the engineering sector.

The College will review the qualifications and experience held by prospective students to consider if this profile shows the ability to progress towards this qualification.

Investigate an Engineering Product

Students are assessed through a blend of practical tasks, assignments and one externally set examination.

Learners may progress to further study at level 3 in a variety of engineering subjects within the College.

After completing the Level 1/2 First Award in Engineering, individuals can explore entry-level job roles in various fields of engineering. Some potential job roles include:
