Overview

A Beginners Guide to Working in a Recording Studio

This course is aimed at musicians and music creators who are interested in understanding how a professional recording studio works. Students will discover the key equipment used in todays recording studio and understand how to plan and make a professional studio recording.

Applicants should be a practicing musician or producer.
This course requires a basic understanding of music to enable effective use of the studio facilities.
This course is a suitable support for A-Level and GCSE music students.
Applicants should be aged 16 or above.

Students will study multi-track recording.

Students will be assessed via coursework.

Students can progress to:

Level 3 Recording Studio 301 (part-time)
Level 3 UAL Extended Diploma in Music Performance and Production (full-time)
Level 5 Foundation Degree in Creative Music and Sound Production (full-time)
Level 6 Top-Up Degree in Creative Music and Sound Production (part-time)

This course will enable individuals to pursue various job roles within the creative arts and digital technologies industry
