Overview

Candidates who obtain the CompTIA Server+ certification possess the flexibility to work in diverse environments because it is the only vendor neutral certification covering the major server platforms. This certification stands alone in the industry, providing coverage of cutting-edge server technologies such as virtualization, security, and network-attached storage.

By earning the CompTIA Server+ certification, candidates demonstrate their proficiency as server administrators. They have achieved mastery in essential areas including virtualization, storage, security, and troubleshooting.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

Modules include:

Server Architecture: Understand, configure and support server components
Server Administrations: Manage and maintain servers, including OS configuration, access control and virtualisation
Storage: Support storage device technologies, including capacity and growth planning
Security: Apply physical and network data security techniques
Networking: Configure systems for network connectivity, including physical and logical elements
Disaster Recovery: Understand disaster recovery and implement backup techniques
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve system hardware, software, connectivity, storage and security issues

Assessment is through one online exam overseen by PearsonVUE.

Individuals may wish to progress to CompTIA Security+ also delivered at the College. Jobs prospects include Server Support Technician, Server Administrator, IT/Server Technician, Storage Administrator.

Candidates who obtain the CompTIA Server+ certification will have the flexibility to work in range of diverse environments. Jobs roles may include;
