The Carpentry and Joinery Level 2 Diploma Apprenticeship will provide individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue a career in the field of carpentry and joinery within the construction industry. This apprenticeship offers a valuable opportunity for individuals interested in woodworking and construction to gain practical experience and develop essential skills in carpentry and joinery techniques.
The aim of this programme is to develop a broad base of woodworking skills and practical techniques. This apprenticeship will enable learners to gain skills and knowledge in first and second fix carpentry techniques, health, safety and welfare in wood occupations, interpreting construction drawings, maintaining and using woodworking hand and power tools setting, marking out and manufacture of joinery products, understanding construction methods setting, and operating CNC machines.
The apprenticeship provides apprentices with a comprehensive understanding of the craft, covering key aspects such as timber construction, joinery techniques, woodworking machinery operation, and woodwork installation. Apprentices will have the opportunity to work on real construction projects, both individually and as part of a team, to apply their skills and knowledge in practical scenarios.
