Overview

This course is suitable for any functional manager or employee interested in understanding artificial intelligence and machine learning principles and wishing to harness these for implementation within their business. The field of AI is rapidly evolving, and new opportunities are continually emerging as organisations recognise the value of AI in their operations.

The AI Level 4 programme will help individuals deepen their understanding of artificial intelligence and its applications across various fields. This course provides a comprehensive exploration of AI technologies, methodologies, and ethical considerations, equipping participants with the skills needed to navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of AI.

Throughout this course, learners will engage with a diverse curriculum that covers key topics such as machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and data analytics.

Prior computing knowledge is an advantage for applicants to this course.

This course is funded through the Skill Up. All applicants must meet the following entry requirements:

Applicants must be 18 years of age on or before the course start date.
Applicants must be eligible to work in Northern Ireland.
Applicants must be ‘settled’ in Northern Ireland, and have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least three years; or are a person who has indefinite leave to enter or remain in the UK.

Candidates are only permitted to complete a maximum of two free courses at a time.

The course provides a practical, hands-on approach in which learners will be able to see AI and machine learning in practice.

Introduction to Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
Understand Common AI Apps & Computer Vision
Understand Conversational AI
Evaluate Popular Machine Learning Algorithms

Students will be assessed through project work, exams and class participation. Active involvement in discussions, group work, and practical exercises will contribute to overall assessment.

Upon completing the AI Level 4 , participants may pursue further studies in Advanced AI and Machine Learning, Data Science and Analytics or specialised areas such as AI ethics, robotics, or data engineering.

Completing this course equips learners with advanced knowledge and skills in the field of AI. This qualification opens up a range of exciting career opportunities in various industries which may include AI Engineer or Developer, Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer or AI Analyst.
