Applicants can apply for A-Levels on either a full-time or part-time (day) basis. The College invites applicants to apply for 3 or 4 AS subjects based on the Subject Selection Grid below.
Subject choice and selection are discussed during attendance at a Pre-Enrolment Advice Session (PEAS) and are not recorded on initial application.
Attendance at PEAS is essential.
A-LEVEL COMBINATIONS
Applicants can choose to study one subject per column (A, B, C, D) from the table below.
Table A: AS Level Subject Selection Grid (5 hours per week per module)
If you have previously studied a subject at AS or A2 and wish to enhance your grade profile, you can combine AS Level (Table A) with A2 Level (Table B).
Table B: A2 Level Subject Selection Grid (5 hours per week per module)
The College will review the qualification(s) and/or experience held by applicants and will consider whether the profile demonstrates an ability to undertake AS and A2 qualifications successfully.
Applicants should refer to the available subject pages on our website for additional subject details and specific entry requirements.
Guidance for A-Level Applicants
Conditional Offers of places may be made at PEAS, including confirmation of subject choices. Conditional Offers will only become Firm Offers when the results of examinations are provided and that they meet the entry requirements for the course.
Applicants can view A-Level subject combinations on page 3 of the A-Level Academy Booklet. Please note that combinations listed are for guidance and may be subject to change.
The entry requirements for each A-Level subject for 2025-26, can be found on page 2 of the A-Level Academy Booklet. Subject entry requirements can also be found in the entry requirements section of each individual subject.
Eligibility and success in securing a place in the A-Level Academy is dependent upon applicants meeting the entry requirements for all A-Level subjects applied for.
